One Skirt, Two Ways

For those of you like myself, who have many Christmas parties to attend. I like to reuse a piece or two from every outfit I plan on wearing. As the title says, I'm going to show you how to use one skirt for two different kinds of parties. One look is more dressy where as the other one is casual but with a little bit of sparkle for the holiday spirit.

Bare in mind that all of these items I show you, you can find them cheaper at local boutiques or any other chain of stores. Happy shopping!!

Holiday movie nights

My mother is American, so it was tradition while growing up to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade and later on have a feast. As the years have gone with the kids getting older, my mother doesn't really celebrate it anymore. But it was still instilled in my head that the holidays only start once it was over. Which means putting up the tree, not feeling guilty for listening to Christmas music, and to watch all of the classic movies!
Now that my son is 16 months old, he can kind of enjoy them with us (being that he will only sit still for so long). At the moment How the Grinch stole Christmas is whats trending. That won't be the only movie playing! We have a lot more to go through. Here is the extensive list!

Home Alone: the first and the second
A Charlie Brown Christmas
Jingle all the way
Elf
National lampoon's Christmas vacation
Fred Claus
How the Grinch stole Christmas: the original and the one with Jim Carrey
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
The nightmare before Christmas : which we watch at Halloween too
The Muppet Christmas Carol
The Nutcracker Prince: This is by far the best Nutcracker movie out there! (in my opinion)

I have this feeling I'm missing some movies. But for now that's all I can remember :)

hihihi! I couldn't leave this out!

Sporty-Chic

Ever since the infamous "sneaker-wedge" came out, I wasn't having it. I really can't explain how much I disliked them. The image in my head of the female who would wear them, is someone who is slightly tomboy who always wore Jordans and so in order to feel dressier she would pull out the sneaker wedge. I don't know, that's just what was in my mind... UNTIL recently. The styles that have been coming out are just so darn cute, that I'm going to have to give them a try. So yes, I take back anything and everything negative I said towards this cute and comfy trend. I definitely have a few on my Christmas list! I hope I've been good... To Santa's standards of course ;)

Here are a few that are on my list.

How about a holiday inspired look to go with those fabulous shoes!?

Sleepy saturday

We've had quite the rough week with Judes sleeping or shall I say NON sleeping due to his teething. It has brought on a cold, so this poor little guy has a runny stuffy nose to add to his gums hurting. But he is a trooper. You won't hear much out of him other than laughter, baby talk and sneezes. Even at night he just wakes up alot but he goes right back to sleep the second we bring him to our bed. So I think we are pretty lucky to not have a little whiner following me around the house all day.

Our weekend is filled with groceries, some personal shopping, and oh my favorite.... Wait for it... CLEANING!! Did you detect sacarsm? Well I would be lying if I denied it. As a stay at home mom cleaning is something I dread. I would hire a cleaning service, if I had the money to of course. So instead I either suck it up or bribe my fiance or sister! Haha yes I admit to bribery. But sucking it up is what shall be done (For THIS weekend) with music of course.

Speaking of music, have you heard of half moon run? Their album has been on repeat all week. I leave you with one of my favorite songs.

Fall Fashion Friday

Fall is my absolute favorite season. The leaves changing colors, Starbucks coming out with their fall drinks, Thanksgiving, and of course cuddling on the couch for rainy day movie marathons. Now with all that being said, I have to say it's the best season to experiment with trends and what better way to do so than with hats. From beanies to berets to fedoras, you just have so many choices. The wide brim hat. It has a title of it's own. An ode to the 70's, this is a statement piece. It can be a little intimidating but when paired correctly, it can make any outfit stand out.

The wide brim hat:1. Forever 21 23.80$  2. Go Jane 31.10$ 3. Asos 10.74$

Here's an outfit I would pair all three of these gorgeous hats with. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Lunch Date and shopping: 1. Romwe 32.50$ 2. Romwe 54.99$ 3. Romwe 66.99$ 4. Aldo 100.00$  5. Michael Kors 180.00$

Judes Beatles themed room

This past weekend we came around to decorating and organizing Judes room. I wanted a Beatles themed room without it being beatles smacked in your face. It had to be baby friendly that when you looked around the room with the different wall stickers and other touches you would get the reference. So example, he has an octopus ( for octopus garden), a strawberry (for strawberry fields forever) and so on. I'm sure you get the point ;) But of course with there still being some true beatles elements.
We bought a toy organizer for ALL or most of his toys to fit, which they did. I think the room turned out great but it isn't finished yet. I still have some last finishing touches to add to the empty wall spaces. Here are some things that I am debating on ordering.

Things I love : One. Two. Three.

I am sure you would love to see the room too right?! Well here ya go!!

On the top shelf I would place the " I am the walrus" picture.

The yellow submarine might be my favorite thing in the room.

You see!!?? All of this empty wall space must be filled!!!

Now I am GLADLY done. How many times have I said "beatles"? A little too much!!

A lazy Tuesday we had

So Yesterday wasn't exactly a productive day but we did get out of the house and do some "shopping". I'm looking for the perfect large mirror to go in to my closet but still no luck. I also don't want to be spending an arm and a leg for one either. Knowing myself I will find the perfect one and it will be well over 200.00$. I can't help it. I have an expensive eye. It's a curse!!! You can show me three dresses and without me knowing the price, I will always like the most expensive one. My fiance isn't a fan of my curse. But at least I don't give in... most of the time.

Here's a bit of photos to show off our outfits and of course to showcase my sons cuteness.

He just melts my heart
